Abstract

Near miss analysis is an analysis studying near miss cases to locate problems and resolves them before accidents happen. In order to reduce and prevent the traffic incidents and accidents from happening, near miss analysis plays major part in the research.

The junction of Kwun Tong Road and Hong Ning Road is examined by means of different methodologies. Poor road users’ behavior and road design are the core problems found. To tackle these, recommendations are given follow by.

Though there are limitations, research found that near miss analysis is feasible on analyzing traffic issues which would be proposed to the government.
