Abstract
The purpose of this research project is to discover how ready Hong Kong’s primary and secondary school teachers are to use new technology in the classroom, and to integrate e-learning into their teaching; further, this study ascertains how factors such as gender and age influence teachers’ e-learning readiness.
Using a combination of existing e-learning assessment tools with experiences gained from business field and the conceptual model developed from the literature, two questionnaires were created to survey in-service and pre-service teachers in Hong Kong. The quantitative data was then triangulated with findings from eight interviews.
