Investigating the use of internet-delivered videos to improve the presentation skills for a class of postsecondary Chinese EFL students: a case study of a Hong Kong language classroom

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to investigate whether Internet-delivered videos would help improve the presentation skills for a class of 34 postsecondary Chinese EFL students. Students did self-assessment forms to evaluate the frequency of using different presentation skills for their group presentations for English courses in the first and second semester respectively. The only difference was that students had a chance to watch Internet-delivered videos on presentation skills in the English course for the second semester. A comparison of pre-and post-online video self-assessment results and structured interview findings with 9 students showed that students had improved their presentation skills.
